“It was not done the right way.” So says Councilmember Jack Evans (D-Ward 1) about the D.C. Council’s inadvertent approval of online gambling, which was slipped into a budget bill by Councilmember Michael Brown (D-At Large). The Washington Post has a good story this week detailing how more nonsmokers who live in apartments and condos are speaking up about secondhand smoke intruding into their living spaces.
